Zamalek SC 2-1 Al Ahly
Travis Mutyaba made his long-awaited Egyptian Premier League debut as Zamalek beat rivals Al Ahly 2-1 on Monday night in Cairo.
Mutyaba came off the bench in the 18th minute to replace forward Ahmed Sayed Zizo who got injured and couldn’t continue with play.
Mutyaba played 72 minutes as a right winger in the affair which is also the fiercest derby in Africa.
Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri scored a brace for Zamalek while second half substitute Ahmed Abdelkader scored for Al Ahly.
Mutyaba had an opportunity to make it 3-1 from a counter attack situation in the stoppage time but his effort missed target by inches.

This was his second game in Zamalek colours having made his debut in the CAF Confederation Cup 2-1 win over Libya’s Abu Salim on 25th February.
The win took Zamalek to 21 points, same as Al Ahly who have a slight goal advantage. Al Ahly sit 9th while Zamalek are 10th with 13 games played.
Mutyaba and Zamalek will return to action on Sunday 21st April in the CAF Confederation Cup semi final against Ghana’s Dreams FC.
