Uganda Cranes midfielder Carl James Mujaguzi has been named in the team of the week after his brilliant performance with Athlone Town FC over the weekend.

Mujaguzi was outstanding as Athlone Town beat Finn Harps 1-0 in the League of Ireland 1st division which serves as the second tier of Ireland.

The Ugandan central midfielder says he wants to replicate his brilliant performance every time he steps on the field of play.

” I am really happy and delighted to be in the team week. It shows that I am in good form and performing.” Mujaguzi told Swift Sports

” I have to just keep the consistency to keep on appearing in the team of the week.” He added.

Mujaguzi who recently made his debut with the Cranes in the 4-0 defeat to Comoros, joined Athlone Town in January this year from Sweden’s BK Olympic.

He has played nine of the 10 games for Athlone Town, missing out one while he was with the Cranes in Morocco last month.

He will be expected in action as Athlone Town takes on Kerry FC on Friday 19th April.
