Kitara issue strict security guidelines ahead Vipers clash

Uganda Premier league leaders Kitara FC have released strict security guidelines ahead of their epic league clash with Vipers SC on Friday at Masindi Municipal Stadium.

The development comes after Vipers threatened to boycott the game citing inadequate security.

On Tuesday, Vipers released a statement stating that they were not ready to risk their players and fans for the game against Kitara unless FUFA the regulator addressed the issue of security at Masindi Municipal Stadium.

In the latest development, Kitara FC through their Chief Executive Officer Joshua Atugonza announced that security shall be headed by CAF Certified Security personnel Dixon Okello.

Kitara have also revealed that the Vipers team will access entrance through the VIP section and the hosts will as well pay the parking fees for the visitors.

Vipers SC fans will be separated from the home fans with the VIP fans also having a separate entry.

Atugonza on the video circulating,

“The Video Circulating is for Kitara Fc Fans during the Bul Fc Game. These are paper Pangas that the fans used for fun and the video can clearly show someone purporting to cut off his neck. The security cannot allow the actual panga to be inside the stadium.”

Kitara FC currently lead the Uganda Premier league table with 44 points while Vipers SC are third on 42 points.
