Maroons crucify nine man Busoga United

Maroons FC cruised past nine men Busoga United 3-0 in the Uganda Premier league contest that was played at Luzira Prisons Ground on Thursday.

Busoga duo of Charles Mulanda and Hussein Ssajjabi was sent off in the second period of the contest.

Fred Amaku netted a brace early in the first period before Abraham Tusubira added the third before the halftime breather.

The brace took Amaku’s tally to 12 goals. He is two goals behind Shaban Muhammad who is the league’s leading scorer.

Mulanda was shown matching orders in the second half after a dangerous foul on Jacob Okao.

Moments later, Ssajjabi was also sent off after second bookable offense.

The win takes Maroons FC into sixth position with 38 points while Busoga United remain in the relegation mix and are 14th with 18 points in 23 games.

Maroons next travel to Kitende to face Vipers on April 26th while Busoga visit Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
