Uganda’s most prestigious men football league, the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, will have a champion this Saturday.

The 2023/2024 title has gone to the wire with Villa, Vipers, BUL and Kitara all in contention for the championship.

SC Villa and Vipers SC find themselves in tricky positions just like last season where the former narrowly missed the championship after a 1:0 loss to URA FC at Wankulukuku, while Vipers win against Busoga at St. Mary’s Stadium were good enough to hand them the title.

All the top 4 likely winners has all to play for, Vipers looking to defend the title, SC Villa Jogoo looking to end the 20 years trophy drought, BUL FC looking to win its first gold medal and becoming the second team from Busoga to win the championship, after Nile FC.

Kitara prays for all the top 3 to lose and if this happens, the Kabalega Boys will need a win against Jinja outfit (Gaddafi FC) to claim the title. This season has been remarkable as the title has a possibility of heading to 3 geographical regions of Uganda, Buganda, Busoga or Bunyoro.
