The newly refurbished Nakivubo Stadium will host two basketball games on the grand opening.
National Basketball League clubs Nam Blazers will take on the UCU Canons while KIU Titans will face off with JT Jaguars on 1st June.
FUBA General Secretary Hudson Segamwenge hailed Nakivubo Stadium management for constructing a basketball court at the facility
“I am also humbled that as the basketball fraternity we have got another facility in Nakivubo Stadium.” It is a special occasion for FUBA to partner with Nakivubo Stadium management ahead of its grand opening.” I therefore call upon our Basketball fans to come in large numbers.”

The winners in Basketball will scoop Shs2M each while the losers will bag Shs1.5M.
Meanwhile in Netball, the reopening event will feature a highly anticipated matchup between East Africa champions NIC and league holders Prisons Netball Club. Additionally, KCCA will face off against Makindye Weyonje.
Beyond netball and basketball, the grand reopening will also feature boxing and kickboxing matches, football along with performances by top local artists.
