KCCA FC midfielder Ashraf Mugume ‘Fadiga’ is set to sign a new contract with the club, according to FUFA TV’s Sportlight.
Mugume who joined KCCA in 2020, has less than a month left on his employment contract with the Lugogo based outfit.
The midfielder has been heavily linked to Vipers who have reportedly expressed their interest in signing him.
According to the Sportlight, a compromise for a contract extension is very likely and Mugume is expected to continue at KCCA FC.
The former St. Mary’s Kitende, Vipers and Police FC midfielder was one of the outstanding performers at KCCA, scoring seven goals and registering two assists.
He is highly regarded as one of the most important pieces in Abdallah Mubiru’s set up heading into the new season.
KCCA embarked on their transfer business very early, bringing in Shafik Nana Kwikiriza, Emmanuel Anyama and Steven Munguchi.
Hudu Mulikyi is another player expected to complete his transfer despite a dispute with URA FC.
