Owek. Robert Serwanga Ssalongo has confirmed the committe of seven members that will spear head the upcoming 31st Kabaka’s Coronation anniversary golf tournament.
500 golfers are expected to take part in the tournament that will be held at the Uganda Golf Club between 21st and 27 of July 2024.
David Ssekitoleko the manager Uganda Golf Club, Sam Mubiru captain Uganda Golf club and Emmanuel Wamala are some of the members on the committee.
The other four are Evah Magala, Paul Kaheru, Getrude Kityo and Hannington Musoke the Kingdom’s Principal Sports Officer (PSO)
Parents and children will play on 21st July, 22nd will be for Caddies while the professionals will play on 25th and 26th, playing will be starting from 7am to 2:30pm before prize giving later in the evening, a dinner will be held on 27th after the grand finale.
Owek. Serwanga called upon all the sponsors, well wishers and golfers to come on board by providing support and taking part in the tournament,
“The tournament is part of the celebrations for the 31st Kabaka’s Coronation anniversary. We are still on the theme of men being leaders in the fight against HIV to save the girl child and the committee has been confirmed today.”
“So I call upon all of you who enjoy to come join this cause by rendering support and taking part this time we are having kids our target is giving an opportunity to everyone with in the kingdom to showcase their talents.”
The professionals are competing for Kabaka’s Green Jacket and 13 million Uganda Shillings.
