Egyptian Premier League side ZED FC are interested in signing Arafat Usama Kiza from KCCA FC, according to FUFA TV’s Sportlight Show.

ZED FC have expressed a strong interest in signing the KCCA FC’s winger and a transfer could happen if all goes well.

Usama was one of the standout performers in the league last season which also turned out to be his best season at the KCCA since joining the club in 2021 from Regional League side Kajjansi United.

He scored eight league goals and provided six assists as KCCA raced for a respectable finish last season.

Usama garnered continental attention while playing for the Hippos in the All Africa Games held in March this year as Uganda finished as runners up.

As a player, Usama is a quick and versatile forward who provides directness, trickery, creativity and an eye for goal.

He is a former St. Mary’s Kitende, Kajjansi United, CRO and Mbale Tigers player.

Usama could follow Abas Kyeyune who recently joined the Egyptian Premier League after signing for Cleopatra Ceremica FC.

Joseph Ochaya, Joackiam Ojera (both at Arab Contractors), Travis Mutyaba (Zamalek) and Allan Kyambadde (El Dakhleya) are other Ugandan players in the Egyptian Premier League.
