Another SC Villa star confirms departure

Umar Lutalo has confirmed his departure at Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa.

Lutalo joined Villa at the start of the 2021/22 season on a three year employment contract from Aspire Academy.

He confirmed his departure at the 17 time Uganda Premier league champions via his social media channels, thanking the club management led by President Omar Mandela, teammates and fans.

To the esteemed president Hajji Omar Mandela and his Executive Committee, your unwavering support and guidance have been instrumental in shaping not only my career but also the success of the club. Thank you for believing in me and providing me with the opportunity to contribute to the rich legacy of SC Villa.”

Together, we have achieved the unimaginable, and I will forever cherish the memories we have created on and off the field.”

Last season, Lutalo scored 8 league goals for the record Uganda Premier league champions only behind their top scorer Patrick Jonah Kakande.

KCCA FC and Ethiopia Giants are interested in Lutalo’s signature.

He joins captain Kenneth Semakula and attacker Abas Kyeyune who was sold to Cleopatra Celemica of Egypt at the exit door.
