Vipers SC will end their Uganda Premier league campaign against Busoga United at the St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Saturday.

The Venoms are second on the log with 50 points and two points adrift of leaders SC Villa.

If the Venoms are to retain the title on the final day, they will have to maximize points and pray Villa fail to beat URA FC.

Vipers will be without their key defender Hilary Mukundane and midfieder Abdul Karim Watambala due to card accumulation.

In their previous game, the reigning league champions played out to a 1-1 draw with BUL FC at Njeru Technical centre.

For Busoga United, they assured of topflight football next season after overcoming relegation thanks to their goalless stalemate with KCCA FC on Tuesday.

Vipers tactician Alex Isabirye expressed his side’s preparedness ahead of the crucial game

“We are ready and know we have to play well and shall do our level best to make sure we win tomorrow’s game.”

“We have no injuries, the players are prepared and the target always is to get three points from whichever game we play.”

“In some games we’ve played we failed to hit that target, but you can see the players are always trying.” Said Isabirye

The Venoms will not only be seeking to reclaim the title but also avenge Busoga who beat them 1-0 in the first round meeting in December last year.

Laban Tibita scored the all important goal for Busoga United.
