Kawawulo confirms departure from Express amidst strong interest from NEC FC

Left back Isma Kawawulo has confirmed his departure from Express FC after one and half seasons at Wankulukuku.

Kawawulo’s contract at Express expired mid-way the recently concluded season.

The towering defender used his social media platforms to confirm his departure.

” Today I say goodbye to the wonderful club and I want to thank the teammates. Fans and management for the tremendous support you have always offered to me at the club during my tenure. Thanks to everyone” He tweeted via his X account.

Kawawulo has been a mainstay in the Express regular line up and featured in 27 of the 29 league games last season.

He also scored two goals in the process including one against Vipers in a 2-0 win at Wankulukuku.

He is expected to join NEC FC who have expressed a strong interest in signing him up recently.

He is a former Maroons FC and Busoga United left back and has also represented Uganda in Beach Soccer.
