Uganda Cranes defender Halid Lwaliwa is expected to leave North Macedonia side FK Bregalnica.
Lwaliwa will officially become a free agent when his contract at the club expires at the end of this month.
This website understands that Lwaliwa is not expected to renew his stay at the club.
He joined the North Macedonia side at the start of the 2022/23 season on a two year employment contract after his departure at six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC.
Since joining, he made over 50 appearances for the Macedonian outfit.He has been the captain since the start of last season.
They got relegated last season after finishing bottom of the league table of 12 teams.
Lwaliwa is former St.Mary’s Boarding Secondary School player from where he joined the senior team Vipers SC in 2013.
At Vipers, Lwaliwa won four Uganda Premier league title in 2014/15, 2017/18, 2019/20 and 2021/22 campaigns and two Uganda Cup triumphs, in 2016 and 2021.
