Mukwala confirms Asante Kotoko exit ahead of move to Simba

Uganda Cranes striker Steven Desse Mukwala have confirmed his departure at Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko.

Mukwala announced his departure on Monday, 24th June via his social media platforms

“This is probably the saddest day of my life as I am saying goodbye to a platform that has helped me grow my football career. ” I am Glad to have been part of a profound family. I hold you dearly in my heart.” Said Mukwala who thanked the King, club administration, coaches and teammates.

Mukwala joined Asante Kotoko at the start of the 2022/23 season and during his time at the club he has managed to score 25 goals in 65 league appearances.

The Cranes striker is expected to join Tanzania Giants Simba on a three year employment contract this transfer window.

Before joining Asante Kotoko, Mukwala had previously featured for Edgars’ Soccer Academy, Vipers SC, Maroons FC and URA FC.

Kalo Ouattara, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, Nicholas Mensah, John Tedeku, Sherif Mohammed, George Mfegue, Serge Eric Zeze, Danlad Ibrahim, Moise Pouaty are the other players expected to leave Asante Kotoko.
