SC Villa confirm registration in CAF Champions League and CECAFA Kagame Cup

Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa have finalised registration to participate in both CAF Champions League and CECAFA Kagame Cup.

After ending their 20 year title drought, SC Villa will return to the continent to represent the country in the prestigious CAF Champions League competition.

SC Villa Spokesperson Asan Kasingye on Monday via his social platforms confirmed that the club have already finalised with registration to take part in both competitions.

The CECAFA Kagame Cup is due to take place in Zanzibar from July 6th to 22nd of the same month.

The preliminary round for both CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup will start between August 16 and 19, and the group stage will take place between October and December of the current year 2024.

While the date of the knockout stage until the final in the Champions League and the Confederation Cup will be between March and June 2025.

From July 1 to 20, registration of players participating in the first preliminary round, and from July 21 to August 31, players in the second preliminary round.

Registration of players participating in the group stage from September 1 until the 30th of the same month, and during the period between January 1, 2025 until its end, a maximum of 7 players must be registered, including 4 substitutes up to End of the season.

Ahead of a busy schedule, SC Villa have already kicked off training under their Serbian tactician Dusan Stojanovic.
