Uganda Premier league side NEC FC are close to securing Joseph Kafumbe’s signature, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Kafumbe is currently a free agent following the expiration of his employment contract at Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa.
The left back will leave the record league winners after three seasons and is expected to sign a two year deal at NEC FC.
SC Villa have already found replacements for Kafumbe with Denis Kaka Omony and Simon Semayange joining Dusan Stojanovic coached side from Soltilo Bright Stars.
Besides SC Villa, Kafumbe has also previously played for 13 time league winners KCCA FC.
NEC FC are also expected to boost their squad with Veteran midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba, Viane Ssekajugo and FUFA Big League top scorer Dickson Niwamanya among others.
In their maiden season in the topflight division, NEC FC finished sixth on the table with 48 points and were also runners up in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
