Striker Isaac Wagoina has confirmed his departure at seven time Uganda Premier league champions Express FC.

Wagoina who is expected to join BUL FC thanked Express FC management, coaches, teammates and fans for embracing him during his time at the club.

“It’s with a heavy and teary heart that I write to you about my departure from the club. I must say it’s one of the hardest decisions to jot down in my life. To my teammates, you have been phenomenal during my stay at Wankulukuku, sharing the dressing room with you is what any player would ask for but I am very glad our paths crossed. I wish you nothing but the very best wherever life shoves you.”

Wagoina scored 14 goals and provided three assists in the 29 games he played as Express finished 12th on the Uganda Premier league table last season.

He was also the top scorer of the 2023 FUFA Drum Tournament with seven goals while playing with the eventual runners up Busoga Province.

He previously featured for Iganga United, Busoga United and Busei United before moving to Wankulukuku at the start of last season.
