Vipers SC will lock horns with Kenya’s Police FC in the international friendly on their inaugural Vipers Day scheduled for 27th July at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
Kenya’s Police FC are the winners of the Mozart Bet Cup and clinched the trophy after beating KCB 8-7 on penalties after a goalless draw.
Their triumph earned them a slot in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
They however finished third on the Kenya Premier league table last season with 57 points they garnered in 34 games.
Police FC is home to former Vipers defender Rashid Toha.
Vipers on the other hand finished third on the Uganda Premier league table with 57 points.
On the inaugural Vipers Day, Vipers SC Legends will face off with a Vipers Fans select team.
The two games will come in the pre and post-other various activities including entertainment from some of the finest musicians in the country, fans interaction, squad unveiling, engagements with the club sponsors, fan registration plus wining and dining.
The six time Uganda Premier league champions will thereafter focus on their FUFA Super 8 contest against NEC FC with the first leg scheduled for 2nd September, 2024 at Kitende.
