SC Villa mutually part ways with head coach Dusan Stojanovic

Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa have confirmed the departure of head coach Dusan Stojanovic.

The development was confirmed in document from the club Chief Executive Officer William Nkemba on Saturday, 27th July 2024.

“SC Villa has today mutually parted ways with head coach Dusan Stojanovic. Dusan leaves with our sincerest appreciation for steering the club through a very tough season to its 17th league championship. The club wishes him well in his next endeavors and thanks him for his service.”

The Serbian tactician guided SC Villa to their record extending 17th league title last season ending the club’s 20 year title drought.

He replaced Jackson Magera at the helms of Uganda’s most successful football club.

The Serbian tactician had a year remaining on his two year employment contract at SC Villa.

He was named as the coach of the season at the Pilsner Uganda Premier league awards

Morley Byekwaso who has been serving as his assistant has been appointed on interim basis.
