Okello, Karisa and Lawal handed new Vipers squad numbers

Six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC have handed brand new squad numbers to Allan Okello, Abubaker Lawal and captain Milton Karisa.

Okello has been handed shirt 10 ahead of his second full season at the Venoms.

The attacker wore the No.8 during his debut campaign, following his move from Algeria side Paradou.

He has now taken over the No.10 which was vacated by Bright Anukani who left the club.

Captain Karisa will now put on shirt No.11 vacating No.29 that he has been donning for the previous seasons.

Lawal who has been the previous occupant of No.11 will wear No.8 for the 2024/25 campaign.

New signing Kenneth Kimera has been handed no.9 while returning Nicholas Wadada will again put on shirt 14 that he wore during his first spell at Vipers.

Left back Derrick Ndahiro will don shirt no.3 that was worn by Richard Matovu last season

The other new recruits Augsto Mulongo and Pedro Honjo Chimbiambiulo Sukuya will put on No.21 and No.17 respectively.

Following a successful inaugural Vipers Day that saw the Kitende outfit triumph 2-0 over Kenya’s Police FC in the international friendly on Saturday, the Venoms will now turn focus to the FUFA Super 8 quarterfinal first leg against NEC FC on Friday.
