Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa have completed the signing youngster Hassan Mubiru.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Mubiru has joined SC Villa on a three year employment contract as a free agent following his departure from KCCA after just one and half year at Lugogo.

The young forward joined KCCA FC from rivals Express FC in January last year on a five year deal.

Mubiru is a former national U17 team (Uganda Cubs) forward and will boost SC Villa’s attack next season since he can operate across the attack line with the ability of playing on both flanks.

The record Uganda Premier league champions have already signed Dennis Kaka Omony, Simon Ssemayange, Najib Yiga, Geoffrey Lubangakene, Johnson Ssenyonga and Isaac Mpagi as new recruits.

SC Villa are currently under the interim stewardship of Morley Byekwaso following the departure of Dusan Stojanovic who led them to their 17th league triumph ending a 20 year title wait last term.

On Saturday, SC Villa had a friendly match with Rwanda Police FC, ending in a 2-2 draw and will now turn focus to the FUFA Super 8 contest against Uganda Cranes Select team on 3rd August at MTN Omondi Stadium.

The Jogoos are also preparing for their CAF Champions League first round Preliminary round against Ethiopian champions CBE SC.
