Africa Junior School Launches Inaugural Emiti Emito Football Tournament

Africa Junior School, Bulenga has launched the inaugural schools Football tournament dubbed Emiti Emito Tournament.

The tournament will be played in a Gala and will be held on 10th August at Africa Junior School in Bulenga.

During the official launch on Wednesday, 31st July, head teacher Hakim Maguma asserted that the tournament will be used to develop new talents in schools mostly in areas of Bulenga, Nankuwadde and Kikaaya.

“We have organized this tournament to develop young talents. We are aiming at children below the age of 13 years, it’s free of charge, so I encourage head teachers to bring their children to participate in this tournament. We have the facilities to use for the tournament. Therefore we got the idea to start this tournament and it will be held annually.”

Lincoln school’s game teacher Nakawunde Josephine also called upon other schools to participate in the event

“I call other schools to come and participate in the championship that has been organized by Africa Junior School because this is good to us all, and also the pupils of our schools because sports is part of physical exercise.”Said Nakawunde

The tournament is expected to attract over 10 schools with the winners walking away with a trophy and winners medals among other prizes.
