Allan Okello snatched a dramatic late victory for Vipers, beating Uganda Cranes Select team 1-0 in the semifinal contest of the FUFA Super 8 at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
With the game destined for a penalty shootout, Okello came up with the dramatic winning goal poking home from close range in added time.
The Venoms were the better side on the evening and had several scoring chances, Abdul Karim Watambala was one of the culprits when he failed to finish off Kenneth Kimera’s perfect ball in the first period.
Nikola Kavazovic’s men will face off with reigning FUFA Super 8 champions BUL FC in the final.
BUL FC needed a Pascal Ngoobi strike to overcome Kitara FC in the other semi-final on Saturday evening.
Uganda Cranes Select team will next face Kitara in the classification game. Kitara will first turn focus on the CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary stage fixture against Al Hilal SC Benghazi on Friday.
