The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Zambian officials to oversee the CAF Champions League first leg Preliminary round between SC Villa and Ethiopia’s CBE.
Hillary Hambaba from Zambia will be the referee for the contest due on Saturday, 17th August at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
Meck Zulu and Thomas Kaela are the first and second assistants while Chola Chansa is the fourth official.
Mohamed Moumin Ali from Djibouti is the match commissioner.
Meanwhile, SC Villa’s opponents CBE are to arrive in the country on Thursday, 15th August.
The Ethiopian side is the home to Ugandan forward Simon Peter Oketch who previously played for BUL FC.
The aggregate winner after the two legs will face the winner between last season’s semifinalists and Tanzanian champions Young Africans or Burundi’s Vital’O.
Only two Ugandan sides KCCA FC and Vipers SC have ever progressed to the group phase of the competition however SC Villa reached the final in the old format of Africa’s biggest club competition in the early 90s.
