Brian Kayanja completes move to FUFA Big League side

Former NEC FC striker Brian Kayanja has joined FUFA Big League side Paidha Black Angels.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Kayanja has put pen to paper on a six month employment contract.

He joins as a free agent following expiration of his contract at NEC FC.

His former paymasters UPDF FC were the other side interested in services this transfer window.

He left UPDF FC at the start of the 2021/22 season and joined KCCA FC before he was loaned to Maroons FC in 2023.

At the start of last season, Kayanja joined NEC FC after expiration of his contract at KCCA FC.

During his time at NEC FC, Kayanja has horrendously been affected with injuries limiting him to playing time.

Kayanja has also had stints at Soltilo Bright Stars and Kenya’s Sofapaka.

Paidha Black Angels SC are currently boosting their squad ahead of the 2024/2025 Big League season.

They returned to the Big League after three years of absence.

Paidha Black Angels sealed promotion to the FUFA Big League after a 2-0 win over Northern Gateway in the second leg of the promotion playoff at the Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo last month.

The Blacks were relegated from the Big League in the 2020/21 season after finishing bottom of the Elgon Group with only five points from 14 games played.
