In a thrilling conclusion to the Canada Masaza Cup, Busiro emerged as champions for the first time, thanks to a last-minute strike from budding star Don. The highly anticipated final lived up to its expectations, with both teams putting on a fierce display of skill and determination.
The match reached its climax in the dying minutes when Don found the back of the net, securing a historic victory for Busiro. The goal came after a well-executed assist, following a foul on Busiro’s Timothy Isco. This moment of brilliance was enough to break the deadlock and crown Busiro as champions.
Busiro’s journey to the finals was anything but easy. They faced the defending champions, Kyaddondo, in the semifinals, where they triumphed in a nerve-wracking penalty shootout. After a 0-0 stalemate during regular play, Busiro held their nerve to win 11-10 on penalties, earning their place in the final.
On the other side, Ssingo secured their spot in the finals by defeating the tournament favorites, Bulemeezi, with a commanding 2-0 victory. Ian Kasozi was the hero of the match, scoring both goals to propel Ssingo into the final showdown against Busiro.
