St. Noa Girls Secondary School Zzana clinched the Wakiso Region Girls football title with a 2-1 win over Rines SS on Sunday.
U20 Women National team forward Sylvia Kabene scored a brace e to earn the Zzana based school victory at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
Kabene netted in either half of the contest as St.Noa smiled to a 6th Wakiso Region title.
Rines found a consolation through their captain and former St.Noa player Patricia Nakato who converted through the spot after Nancy Mandela had handled inside the forbidden area.
For starters, St Noa overcame Watoto (Hope SS) Bira 2-0 in the semifinal courtesy of Kabene and Imelda Kasemire goals.
In the Quarterfinal stage, they thrashed AGRO Link 5-1.
Rines SS eliminated cruised past Aiden College 3-0 to reach the final, they also eliminated Kakungulu High school 2-0 at the quarterfinal stage.
Kabene finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 14 goals and was also named as the Most Valuable Player.
Champions St.Noa, runners Up Rines SS, Watoto and Aiden will represent Wakiso at the Fresh Dairy Games in Girls Football championship due in Ndejje this month.
