The long-standing contractual dispute involving Emmanuel Ajo, SC Villa, NEC FC and Busoga United has officially ended, Swift Sports understands.

Ajo has been granted greenlight to join NEC FC on a three year contract from Busoga United.

The dispute involved SC Villa, a side Ajo had initially signed for in June before he signed another contract with NEC FC a month later.

However, the contract he signed with SC Villa has been declared non-binding because the player’s mutual termination letter (from Busoga United) attached to it was declared not authentic.

Derrick Lule (former Busoga United CEO) who signed on the termination form on behalf of Busoga United did not have the authority to do so at the particular time.

Ajo has been instructed to refund the 8m he acquired from SC Villa as sign on fees but also pay a compensation of 7m to SC Villa.

He will be cleared to play for NEC FC once the aforementioned refund and fine amounting to 15m in total are fully paid.
