Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa have named Ronald Ssekiganda as their captain for the forthcoming 2024/25 season.
Ssekiganda replaces Kenneth Semakula, who lifted the league title in May but left following the expiration of his contract and joined Tunisian giants Club Africain.
Semakula had replaced Gift Fred as the skipper at the 17-time league champions at the start of last season.
David Owori has been named as the immediate vice captain while goalkeepers Jeans Braddy Wokorach and Meddie Kibirige are the third and fourth assistants respectively.
Following their exit from the CAF Champions League, the Jogoos will turn focus on defending their league crown in the forthcoming season.
They will begin their title defense at home against Mbarara City FC on 16th September at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
