Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa will host their league games from Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
This follows their initial plan of hosting from Mandela National Stadium which has turned out to be unsuccessful.
Sources reveal that Namboole turned out to be too expensive for the record holders hence switching back to Wankulukuku.
SC Villa used Namboole as their homeground in the CAF Champions League preliminary round against Ethiopia’s CBE a fortnight ago.
The stadium was nearly empty after the Jogoos charged 50k for entrance as fans shied away.
For the past two seasons, Wankulukuku has been serving as Villa’s homeground.
SC Villa’s rivals Express recently left Wankulukuku after 33 years and will use the refurbished Nakivubo Stadium as their home for the new season.
