BUL FC cruised to back to back FUFA Super 8 trophies with a shootout win over 2019 winners Vipers SC in the final that was played under the floodlights of MTN Omondi Stadium on Sunday.

After a goalless draw in normal time and in extra time, the winner was to be decided via a penalty shootout.

BUL FC prevailed 6-5 in the shootout with Vipers’ Enock Luyima blasting his over the bar.

Before the shootout, Lawrence Tezikya had a golden opportunity to fire BUL into the lead in the second period of extra time but was denied by Vipers SC custodian Dennis Kiggundu.

Milton Karisa and Kenneth Kimera also had decent scoring opportunities for Vipers early into the boring contest at Lugogo.

Before the final, Uganda Cranes Select team beat Kitara FC 2-0 to claim third place.

Mbarara City FC striker Henry Kitegenyi scored the two goals for Sam Ssimbwa coached side.
