Following their CAF Confederation Cup engagement, the trio of Muhammad Shaban, Denis Omedi and Jude Semugabi has joined the Uganda Cranes training camp in Rosebank, South Africa.
Uganda is currently camping in Rosebank ahead of their AFCON qualifier opener against South Africa in Group K on Friday.
Shaban who played a huge impact as Libya’s Al Hilal Benghazi SC prevailed to victory over Kitara in the CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary round last month has joined the camp. He scored in the first leg of the two legged contest.
The pair of Omedi and Semugabi featured in Kitara’s 6-4 aggregate defeat to Benghazi SC, with the latter scoring in both legs.
Uganda Cranes under the stewardship of Paul Joseph Put are preparing for the AFCON 2025 Qualifiers against South Africa due on Friday at Orlando.
After their opening game against the 1996 African champions, Uganda will host Congo Brazzaville on Monday night at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
