Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga has completed his move to Police FC on a one year contract, Swift Sports understands.

Muwanga initially signed a three year contract with BUL FC as a direct replacement for Thomas Ikara.

However the contract was officially terminated last week and Swift Sports understands Muwanga has now signed for Police FC.

Muwanga is one of the tried and tested goalkeepers in the league having previously featured for Express FC, URA FC, Sadolin Paints and Onduparaka FC.

Muwanga played for Etoile de l’Est in the Rwanda Premier League last season.

He rose to the scene with Sadolin Paints in 2015 and emerged as the league’s Best Goalkeeper in the 2015/16 season.

He is a double Golden glove winner having won another Best Goalkeeper accolade in 2021 as Express FC won the league title.

He is expected to be a huge boost for the Cops in the goalkeeping department that had Edward Kasibante as the first choice last season.

Police FC also signed Denis Iguma, Kevin Obua and striker Gerald Ogweti among others.
