Wakiso Giants have signed goalkeeper James Alitho on a one year contract from URA FC, Swift Sports understands.
Alitho has been training with the Purple Sharks in the pre-season before sealing his move.
The lanky experienced shot-stopper comes in to fill the void left by Bashir Ssekagya who left the club to join Vipers SC.
Alitho is expected to add experience in the Wakiso Giants squad having previously featured for Vipers and Zanaco FC in Zambia.
The Purple Sharks are also set to sign midfielder David Bagoole from Vipers SC and former Express striker Marvin Oshaba.
Wakiso Giants will be under the stewardship of former Cranes midfielders Steven Bengo and Tony Mawejje as the head and assistant coach respectively.
Tevin Kyeyune, Josephat Ayebare, Hudson Mbalire, Vincent Zziwa, Derrick Kaija, Zambian winger Erick Kabamba are some of the new signings at the club.
Tanzanian duo of Shaibu Mtita and Issack Emanuel Mtengwa have also joined the club on loan from Yanga while Lawrence Bukenya has returned from Kitara FC.
Wakiso Giants will open their campaign with a home game against Soltilo Bright Stars on Sunday 15th September.
