CECAFA U-20 Zonal Qualifier Groups
Group A: Tanzania, Sudan, Rwanda, Djibouti, Kenya
Group B: Uganda, South Sudan, Burundi, Ethiopia
Uganda U-20 men’s national team (Uganda Hippos) have learnt their opponents for the forthcoming CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers.
Uganda Hippos were drawn in Group B alongside South Sudan, Burundi and Ethiopia in the draw that was conducted by CECAFA competitions manager Yusuf Mossi at the Azam TV studio in Dar es Salaam on Thursday.
Uganda are the defending champions following their triumph against South Sudan in 2022.
In Thursday’s draw, hosts Tanzania are in Group A with Sudan, Rwanda, Djibouti and Kenya.
The best two teams in each group will prevail to the semi-finals with the finalists advancing to the U-20 Continental showpiece due next year.
The Zonal Qualifiers will kickoff on 6th October and end on 20th of the same month.
Azam Complex, KMC Stadium and Major General Isamuhyo Stadium are the three venues that will host the event in Tanzania.
