Vipers SC produced a professional performance to beat Express FC 3-0 under the floodlights of Kitende on Thursday.
The home win meant that Vipers avoided a run of two straight Uganda Premier League defeats following their 3-1 loss to NEC FC in their opener.
Milton Karisa brace and Fumador Awisome earned the Venoms their first win of the league campaign under Serbian tactician Nikola Kavazovic.
Express FC who opened their season with a 2-1 victory over Mbale Heroes suffered their first defeat of the current campaign.
Karisa fired the home side into the lead in the 21st minute before he completed his brace in the 75th minute.
Second half substitute Awisome sealed the win for the Venoms with six minutes to normal time after being fed by man of the match Karisa.
Vipers will next face Lugazi FC next week on Thursday
