KCCA FC cruised to a 2-0 win over Kitara FC under the floodlights of MTN Omondi Stadium on Friday night.
First half goals from Saidi Mayanja and Derrick Nsibambi earned the 13 time league champions maximum points.
It was a perfect revenge for KCCA FC who lost both league games to Kitara last season.
This was the second win for KCCA FC this season after their 1-0 win over URA FC in the opening game of the season.
For Kitara, this is their second successive defeat following their 2-1 home loss to NEC FC.
Saidi Mayanja gave the hosts the lead in the 11th minute thanks to a Shafik Nana Kwikiriza assist.
Nsibambi doubled KCCA FC’s lead capitalizing on a Chrispus Kusiima mistake towards the end of the first period.
In the second half, debutant Gavin Kizito Mugweri came close to extending KCCA FC’s lead but his header was saved by custodian Kusiima.
Abdallah Mubiru’s side smiled to maximum points and are currently on seven points while Kitara are on three points.
KCCA FC will next visit Soltilo Bright Stars on 1st October while Kitara FC will host Police FC on 3rd October.
