KCCA FC have assumed leadership of the Uganda Premier league table after grinding out a 1-0 victory against Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba.
It was their 3rd victory of their impressive start to the season. They have so far beaten URA FC, Kitara and now Bright Stars.
Bright Stars alongside Lugazi, Police FC, BUL Maroons are yet to record any victories this term.
In form striker Derrick Nsibambi pounced on a perfectly laid ball from Saidi Mayanja to beat Derrick Were 30 minutes past the clock.
His goal was enough to send the game into half time with KCCA leading and ultimately handing them all 3 points.
Bright Stars battled to return into the game but goalkeeper Mutwalib Mugolofa and his defensive compatriots couldn’t yield.
KCCA FC now assume top place with 10 points and will next face UPDF FC on October 17th at Lugogo.
Bright Stars will visit SC Villa at Wankulukuku.
