Kitara vs NEC – Royals’ Park, Butema 4pm
Uganda Premier League record winners SC Villa will return to Muteesa II Stadium on Friday seeking redemption against BUL FC.
The Jogoos have this season been hosting their home games at FUFA Kadiba but decided to use Wankulukuku for this fixture since the U-20 Women’s National team is in preparations for their game against Ghana due this Saturday.
SC Villa has managed nine wins at Kadiba drawing four and losing none of the games they have hosted at the venue this term. In fact them along with Kitara FC, Vipers SC and NEC FC are the three sides unbeaten at home this season.
Villa failed to maximize points in the last three games they hosted at Wankulukuku last season, drawing against KCCA and Kitara FC as well as losing against NEC FC.
The Jogoos come into this contest back of a 2-0 league defeat at Kitara FC and losing the reverse fixture at BUL FC 2-1.
Villa will be boosted by the Stanbic Uganda Cup first leg 2-0 triumph over URA FC.
BUL on the other hand lost 1-0 against NEC FC in their most recent league game which was their 10th defeat of the campaign. They are 8th on the table with 34 points.
Frank Ssebuufu with nine league goals this season along with Patrick Jonah Kakande and Hassan Mubiru are expected to light up Villa’s attack. Villa can close the gap on Leaders Vipers in case they maximize points before the Venoms face URA later tonight.
