Paul Joseph Put has named a 27-man Uganda Cranes squad that will face South Sudan in the upcoming AFCON Qualifiers.
The squad consists of KCCA duo of Shafik Nana Kwikiriza and Derrick Nsibambi who caught Put’s attention in the first games of the Uganda Premier League.
Taddeo Lwanga also bounces back having last featured for the Cranes in a 2-0 win over Niger in the previous qualification campaign last year.
Al Hilal Benghazi striker Shaban Muhammad misses out due to injury.
Uganda will host South Sudan at Namboole on Friday 11th October before their return leg on Tuesday 15th October in Juba.
The team is expected to embark on a residential camp on Sunday 6th October.
