The remain 16 teams that prevailed to the group stage have learnt their CAF Champions League group stage opponents for the 2024/25 season during a draw that was conducted on Monday.
East African Giants Young Africans, the home for Uganda Cranes skipper Khalid Aucho have been drawn in a tricky group that has five time African champions TP Mazembe, Sudan’s Al Hilal SC and Algeria’s MC Alger.
Denis Onyango’s Sundowns will face Raja Casablanca of Morocco, DR Congo’s debutants AS Maniema and AS FAR in Group B.
Record competition winners and current champions Al Ahly are in group C alongside Belouizdad (Algeria), Orlando Pirates (South Africa) and Stade d’Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire).
Group D has Esperance Tunis (Tunisia), Pyramids FC (Egypt), Sagrada Esperança (Angola) and Djoliba (Mali).
