Vipers SC registered their first win on the road with a 2-0 victory over Wakiso Giants on Thursday at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

Allan Okello and Milton Karisa scored in either half as the Venoms maximized points for the third time this term.

The game came at a time when the six time Uganda Premier league champions part company with Serbian tactician Nikola Kavazovic.

John “Ayala” Luyinda and Fred Muhumuza were again in charge of the team and named the same starting eleven that claimed victory against SC Villa before the international break.

Okello who was impactful for the Cranes during the double header against South Sudan netted his first goal of the campaign in the 34th minute.

The attacker calmly converted from the spot after goalkeeper James Alitho who was facing his former paymasters had fouled Karisa in the box.

Karisa doubled Vipers lead in 64th for his second goal of the season after defender Ambrose Arinda failed to clear the ball from danger.

Karisa doubled Vipers advantage

Vipers go top of the league standings with 10 points as second placed KCCA FC but the latter have a superior goal difference.

Wakiso under the stewardship of Steven Bengo suffered their second consecutive defeat and are currently eighth with seven points.
