Kitara FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo has had an international break to regroup, but the pressure on the tactician will be back for his team’s match against Mbarara City on Friday.

Ssenyondo will be seeking to end Kitara’s poor start to the season when his side takes on his former side Mbarara City FC on match day five of the Uganda Premier league on Friday.

Kitara have lost their last three league games 2-1 against NEC FC, 2-0 at KCCA FC and most recently the 1-0 defeat against Police FC.

The Royals are just a point above the drop zone.

Their only win of the current campaign came in their first match away to newbies Lugazi FC.

Mbarara City FC on the other hand have been impressive in their previous two games, winning 2-0 at BUL FC and also drew 1-1 against URA FC.

Mbabazi’s side are currently on five points from the four matches they have played so far while the Royals are on three.

Team News

The visitors will be without Benjamin Nyakoojo and Rogers Mugisha but will be boosted by the return of Jasper Aheebwa and Ramathan Dudu who will be facing their former paymasters.

Fact:

The Ankole Lions are unbeaten at home since their 1-0 defeat to NEC FC in their opening game of the 2023/24 season.

During that time they have won six and drawn nine games.
