KCCA FC to miss eight players for UPDF FC

KCCA FC will be aiming to return to the top of the Uganda Premier league table when they welcome UPDF FC under the floodlights of MTN Omondi Stadium on Saturday.

Abdallah Mubiru coached side will however be with eight players against the army side.

Ettiene Katenga (compassionate leave following the death of his father), Peter Magambo, Sharif Ssengendo, new signing Sadat Anaku, Usama Arafat and Steven Munguchi are the notable absentees.

Mubiru will however welcome back Derrick Nsibambi who started for the Uganda Cranes away to South Sudan, Gavin Mugweri Kizito, Saidi Mayanja and Shafik Kwikiriza are all in contention after the international duty.

Skipper Julius Poloto has also recovered from injury and fit to feature.

The Kasasiro Boys have a 100% record at home after winning both of their opening two games with clean-sheets 1-0 against URA FC and 2-0 against Kitara FC.

KCCA have won eight of their last ten Uganda premier league home matches, with one loss and a draw.

UPDF FC under the stewardship of Paul Kiwanuka are just three points adrift of KCCA FC with two wins, one draw and a defeat in four games.

The army side have lost six of their last 10 premier league matches on the road, winning two and lost as many.

KCCA have only lost once against the army side in their previous 14 meetings with UPDF winning 10 and three ending in stalemates.
