Express FC have signed Martin Opolot as one of the recruits at the club in the recently concluded transfer window.

Opolot returns to the Uganda Premier League after a stint in the Botswana Premier League.

He last featured for Prisons XI in Botswana alongside his compatriot Deus Bukenya before they became free agents.

Just like Bukenya, Opolot is a utility player who can play as a midfielder but also as a right back.

He is a brother to Uganda Cranes captain Emmanuel Okwi as well as Francis Olaki.

Opolot previously played for SC Villa and URA FC and the national U20 team The Kobs.

As earlier reported by this website, Express have also signed experienced midfielder Boban Zirintusa on a six-month contract.

Frank Ssenyondo, goalkeeper Ronald Mutebi, Isma Kawawulo and Jamal Alimansi are other new signings at the club.

Express beat Regional League side Kajjansi United 2-1 in the round of 64 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup on Sunday.
