Former Kitara, BUL FC and Police FC striker Brian Mayanja Mululi has died today in Kasana, Luweero.
Mayanja who has been playing for FUFA Big League side Buhimba Saints United, breathed his last after being rushed to Kasana Hospital yesterday.
While the main cause of is yet to be revealed, sources close to the player say he complained an abdominal pain in the aftermath of a training session.
He will always be remembered for his calm character but also for his hard work as a forward while on the pitch.
Mayanja’s football career significantly rolled off during his hey days as a student at Nakasongola Army School in the National Post Primary Schools competitions.
He went on to play for Kampala University (Luweero) in the Regional League under the guidance of coach Sadick Sempigi.
Mayanja tested the deep waters of the Uganda Premier League with Bright Stars and Soana FC and thereafter went on to feature for a number of clubs.
He played for BUL FC, Police FC, Lweza FC, Dove FC , Nyamityobora FC, Kitara FC, Jinja North United and also had a brief stint at Mbarara City last year.

The fallen striker also played for Tanzanian sides Africa Lyon and most recently Mtibwa Sugar.
Mayanja scored the all important goal that guided Kitara FC to a promotion to the topflight in a 1-0 win over Kiboga Young (Mbale Heroes) at Njeru in 2020.
