Simon Peter Mugerwa has promised to deliver a third Masaza triumph for Buddu during this year’s edition.
The tactician replaced Ibrahim Kirya who was in charge of the two time competition winners last year.
“I started my journey of managing in the Masaza Cup at Buddu. I am delighted to work again with the side. I thank the almighty for enabling me achieve success at the time when I was away from Buddu. We expect a challenging season but we are ready and well prepared to guide Buddu to the third Masaza Cup triumph.”
This is a big job but we shall be able to manage it and deliver success with the help of the fans and team management.” Said Mugerwa
Mugerwa was assistant coach to Steven Bogere at Buddu when they won the 2016 Masaza Cup. He returns to the side after inspiring Bulemeezi and Busiro to the 2019 and 2022 triumphs.
Buddu last won the competition in 2021 when they beat Buwekula 2-0 in the final. They will kickoff their campaign with a home fixture against Kooki on 2nd July.
