Buhimba United Saints FC have appointed veteran coach Paul Nkata as their new head coach for this season.
Nkata replaces George William Lutalo who was appointed as Wasswa Bbosa’s assistant at Kitara FC.
He returns to Buhimba United who he guided to the 2024/25 FUFA Big League promotion before his departure to Tanzania side Kagera Sugar in August this year.
To gain FUFA Big League status, they defeated Rwenzori Lions 1-0 in a two legged promotional play off final.
Club Petron Rev. Father Geofrey Tumisiime Abwooli believes Nkata’s experience will help the club met their targets for this season.
“We are delighted to welcome Coach Nkata back to the Saints family.”His expertise and experience will undoubtedly strengthen our team’s performance.” Said the club Patron Tumisiime.
Nkata on the hand was delighted to make a return to the club he left two months ago.
“I am excited to return to Buhimba United Saints FC and contribute to the team’s success. We will work tirelessly to achieve our goals.” Said Nkata
Nkata has vast experience having previously coached Nairobi City Stars, Tusker FC, Bandari FC, Kakamega Homeboyz, Muhoroni Youth, Wazito and lately Kagera Sugar outside Uganda.
Kira Young, Masaka FC, SC Villa, Mbarara City and URA FC are the sides he has previously handled in Uganda.
