Lugazi FC have confirmed the appointment of Francis Mugerwa as a new member of the club’s technical team on a one year contract.
Mugerwa will serve as a Co-coach alongside Steven Bogere who has been the club’s head coach since last season.
Mugerwa has previously coached at Proline FC, Maroons FC, Onduparaka FC, Kitara FC, Arua Hill and Soltilo Bright Stars.
The CAF A Licensed coach was also part of the Vipers SC technical team that won the 2020/21 league title.
As a player, Mugerwa played for Bell FC, State House FC, SC Villa and Kinyara Sugar Works FC.
The club has also confirmed the departure of Oliver Mbekeka whose employment contract expired.
Lugazi have become the third team to embrace the Co-coaching model following Vipers SC and KCCA FC.
The Najjembe based side finished 13th on the Uganda Premier League table with 31 points from 30 games played.
