The 2024 Buganda Masaza Cup tournament officially climaxed on Saturday, 2nd November with Buddu taking on Kyaggwe in the final that was played at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
Buddu needed a Mike Walaga first half goal to prevail to their third Masaza Cup triumph.
They had previously won the competition in 2016 and 2021. They join Mawokota and Bulemeezi who have also won trophy three times.
Meanwhile, Buweekula’s Amour Munogera was named as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament for his astonishing performances.
Robert Ssewanyana from Buluuli finished the tournament as the top scorer with seven goals to his name.
Buddu goalkeeper Marvin Ssebirago Ssali was named as the best custodian in the event that began in June. Ssebirago also made a crucial save in the final to secure a third Masaza Cup crown for Buddu.
All the individual winners were rewarded with accolades at the grand finale of the competition.
